Acupuncture

Distal Acupuncture targets the limbs and scalp to promote healing, while Local Acupuncture involves inserting needles directly into the affected area. During Local Acupuncture, a trigger point response may occur, causing the stimulated muscle to spasm.

Balance Acupuncture

The Balance Method uses a system of acupuncture point selection based on the principles of the Five Elements and the I Ching. Moxa / Moxibustion

Moxa, also known as moxibustion, is a traditional Chinese medicine technique that involves burning dried mugwort leaves on or near the skin at specific acupuncture points or meridians. The heat generated by moxa is believed to stimulate the flow of qi (life force energy) in the body and promote healing.

Moxa can be used to treat a variety of conditions, such as chronic pain, digestive issues, and menstrual cramps. It is generally considered safe, but should only be performed by a qualified practitioner to ensure proper technique and minimize the risk of burns.

Cupping & Tuina

Cupping and Tuina are often used in conjunction with acupuncture treatments to maximize their therapeutic benefits. During this combined therapy, it is possible to experience cupping marks or "sha" markings, which can range in color from pale pink to deep dark red/purple.

While these marks look like bruising they are typically are painless, though sometimes them may be slightly sensitive. If you receive these markings, expect them to gradually fade over a period of a few days to a week.
